Michael Ekwo Foundation

Activities

The activities of Michael Ekwo Foundation for Peace and Security emphasize five strategic types of interventions designed to redress existing gaps in peace and security processes, whilst serving as an important complement to the work of other institutions supporting the peace and security agenda.

The five areas include the following:

  • Youth participation in reduction of crime, fear of crime, and community concerns
  • Establishment of joint community safety coordinating committee among different rural communities in Enugu State.
  • Host periodic community security forum such as symposia, workshops, and other security training.
  • Develop policy and academic research on community development, peace, and security.
  • Documentation of individual and group contributions to security and peace processes in the state and beyond.
