Obuesi Phillips is a legal practitioner of two decades. Prior to establishing his own law firm, Obuesi practiced in two law firms – Awa U. Kalu & Associates and Onwuka Egwu & Co.

A prominent civil rights and environmental activist, Obuesi founded Community Agenda for Peace (CAP). Obuesi is a member several organizations including International Peace Bureau Network (IPB), Global Alliance for the Human Right to Peace (GAHRP), World Federation Against Drugs (WFAD), National Anti-Corruption Coalition (NACC), CSO Network on Youth, Peace and Security (CSONYPS), and Civil Society Network Against Drugs and Substance Abuse (CSNetSDA)
